You Need These In Your Fall Budget

Can you believe that its the end of July and Fall is right around the corner? With Autumn comes many things we need to plan for financially. Here’s some things you might need to add to your budget to help you stay on track.

July and August -

Back to school shopping. Before you go shopping for everything brand new this year, first take inventory of what you already have so you don’t break the bank. Pull out the clothes that don’t fit anymore and take them to a resale store and see how much cash you can earn. This inventory will help you see what you need to buy for the new school year. You might need school supplies but do you need a new backpack, shoes, lunchbox? Write a list of what you need and then add it to your budget.

Holidays are right around the corner. Halloween is 3 months away, Thanksgiving 4 months and Christmas 5 months. To start planning for them, you need to take the total amount you’re going to spend and divide by the number of months you have left to save. For example, If I want to spend $800 on Christmas, and I have 5 months left to save, I need to save $160 per month for 5 months.

September and October - Keep saving for the holidays but add…

Fall decorations

Pumpkin patch

Halloween costumes and candy

These are just a few things that will help you stay on top of your money as the summer comes to an end.
